Eczema is a form of dermatitis that usually itchy and non-pleasant. Dermatitis is often caused by irritants from the environment that make the skin over-react and make inflammation of the skin. This is often caused by inflammatory agents of the body trying to get rid of the body the foreign bodies.
Causes of eczema.
Eczema is caused by many factors, one of them being allergens. Allergens are substances that are detected by the immune system as foreign objects. The immune system, therefore, responds by attacking them and in the process leading to tissue destruction. This will lead to severe inflammation especially if the person is continually exposed to the irritant. Eczema can be reduced through withdrawal from the causative agent. The infected person is usually hyper-reactive to the allergen, and it will cause severe or chronic eczema. This will lead to difficulty in treatment.
Methods of diagnosis of eczema
Diagnosis is made to determine the type of eczema that one is suffering from. It is usually done to make treatment accessible and fasten healing of the individual. First, the doctor should take a detailed history of the person. Where he went for the past few day and the kind of chemicals exposed to. After that, observations and assessment of the patient should be done to check for the apparent signs and symptoms of the condition. After you have finished, lab investigations should be carried out through the skin specimen of the patient. If there are any lesions, then the doctor must take a sample of it and ensure that clear lab analysis is done to determine the actual cause of eczema.
Psoriasis resembles eczema in appearance, but the key feature of this condition is that it affects all the body parts. It is also caused by over-reactivity of the immune system to foreign bodies leads to the occurrence of skin rush and red patches on the skin. Psoriasis has different levels, and it can be categorized into various forms whereas eczema has no types. The skin under the surrounding pustules is red and tender always painful when touched a bit.

The scalp affected could lead to significant loss of hair and breakage of the skin. The lesion may be visible on the head leading low self –esteem. Psoriasis is attached to lymphomas and corn’s disease, unlike eczema which occurs solemnly from the infestation of a pathogen. It should, therefore, be noted that the illness is more severe that eczema because it can go systemically and cause other diseases

Treatment depends on the severity of the disease. If the disease is so severe then serious, medication is required. UV light rays are known to be a significant boost in the healing of psoriasis. Topical therapy will be indicated for a patient only if the condition is not that worse. Anti-inflammatory agents will work better and anti-histamines as well.
In conclusion, the two diseases have the same mode of occurrence though the mechanism of presentation differs from one person to another depending on severity. Eczema does not affect other organs like the nails; it deals with the skin thoroughly. Psoriasis, on the other hand, affects all parts with time as it advances from one stage to another
