In this post”Ayurvedic treatment for heart diseases” you will get the information about causes for heart diseases according to Ayurveda. The Ayurvedic approach towards heart diseases, Mudra for heart diseases. Ayurvedic cares for the heart.

What does Ayurveda speak about the heart?

We all know the heart is a vital organ in our body. Because its need to pump blood to every cell and it is continuously working ever since when we born. It doesn’t stop working even we are sleeping. Heart disease is considered to be most dangerous. All the government is trying to control heart disease. A lot of research is going on, and  modern science is designing new methods of treatments to keep the heart healthy. But on the contrary, we see heart disease are on the rise everywhere in the world. They are increasing like an epidemic. So when all the medicines, governments, scientists and machinery are busy trying to control or somehow stop the flow of heart disease which is going upwards. The heart disease will not be controlled. So this means something is not right. They are trying to control it’s not being controlled I think we need to find out the answer why we are not able to control heart disease.

Ayurvedic treatment for heart diseases

The answer is very much given in Ayurveda.Because according to Ayurveda heart is located in the heart chakra which is called Anahata chakra. There is the physical heart and  also, the mind is also located in this area. The emotional heart, we say the emotions are also located in the same  area. And also,  it is  the seat of the soul. which is conscious its keeps as alive. So that means it’s not just the physical organ heart and its not physical things like food, lake of exercises or physical diseases which affect our heart or cause heart diseases. But there is more to that which we have to consider which unfortunately right now not given much attention but in the modern world.

We all agree that our mind has become more and more stressed. The mind has become more and more anxious. We become more depressed there  are more mental problems these days as compared to fifty years ago.So the mind is localised in the same area  and mind directly affects our physical heart. Also, that means if we have mental stress it will affect our physical heart. It will create diseases there that mean we have to take care of the mind.

I have mentioned many times before in order to keep the mind healthy. It is very important that we understand the word sattva. Sattva is the property of mind which keeps the mind quite relaxed and healthy. There are other two property rajas and tamas. When the mind is dominated in rajas and tamas then the mind is not healthy. The mind is stressed it is active and negative  and so many things. Which is not good for our heart.Modern science clinical studies have proved also that whenever we have a lot of stress then it can create heart disease. So, therefore, we need to come back to sattvic foods, sattvic lifestyle and everything should be static.; Something which is relaxing and sattvic aromas which relax the mind. Foods that relaxes your mind, pure food, pure air, pure water grains, vegetables and fruits.these all are sattvic you can easily find out it’s not difficult to find.If  you take sattvic lifestyle then your heart will be more healthy.

Moving to the next level which is the emotional heart. And  it also sattvic emotion. We have negative emotions and positive emotions, negative emotions. Off course lust greed, anger pride, attachment,  grief fear also cause if heart disease.Modern science also confirms emotions also a great role in our heart disease.

Now we have to control negative emotions. In Ayurveda, the method is described to suppress or just keep them low and bring the positive emotions on the top.Primary love and compression.Love is the prime emotion which we try to live in the family.Loving our nature, loving others, love your neibours, all these things we have heard but we don’t try to go deep into that.So more love in our life the healthy and happier. So, therefore, we need to try to keep the negative emotions down and keep the positive emotions up.

The simple technique is it you can learn just nourish the prana in the body.Because the prana or the lifeforce plays an important role in our health. we can really make it through pranayama. Breathing technique, Ujjai, anoloma-viloma, etc all these pranayama definitely keep the negative emotions  low and more positivity in your mind. That will also take care of your heart and you will be free from heart diseases.
The heart is a hollow, muscular pump with four cavities each provided at its outlet with a valve, and it function is to maintain the circulation of the blood. It beats at the rate of 72 to 75 per minute in a healthy adult with the rate of respiration being on fourth. It pushes the blood into the arteries which is returned to it through the veins to be sent out again. It completes the circulation of the blood in 15 second. Diseases of the heart are many, depending upon which part of the organ is affected. The two commonly known diseases are:

1. Angina pectoris, which is characterized by intense, breath-taking pain, with a feeling of constriction across the chest, cold , choking and feeling of impending death; and

2. A heart attack, a generic term for the failure of the function of the heart which may be ascribed to any one of a dozen or more disorders. But, considering the arduous work which this organ does constantly, and the fact that it never resets completely from the time of its formation till death. It is subject to very few disorders.

The other group of causes are termed functional disorders of the heart. They are:

1. Techycardia( faster than normal beating of the heart or palpitation

2. Arrhythmia( irregular heart beat);

3. Angina pectoris ( pain in the region of the  wishbone) due to narrowing of the arteries. Diseases like rheumatism and syphilis can also give rise to heart disease like rheumatism and syphilis can also give rise to heart diseases.

Of these the former( rheumatic fever to give it its proper name) generally strikes children and seldom adults above the age of 18. Syphilitic heart is the result of a venereal disease to which all are prone. Sometimes, functional hypertension caused by the stress of modern life, sedentary habits and irregular and unwise diet, alcohol and other intoxicant substances may lead to a serious cardiac disorder leading to what is known as a heart attack. Diphtheria, TB and disorders of the thyroid glands may also lead to diseases of the heart. Congenital defects in the formation of the heart at birth may also lead to a heart condition. Beri-beri( an acute deficiency of B1 vitamin) may also cause a heart attack.

It the disease of the heart are caused by inflammatory affections, they may be any of the following

1 pericarditis ( swelling of the sheath in which the heart is encased)

2. Myocarditis ( the muscular substance)

3. Endocarditis( inflammation of the lining membrane). Hypertrophy is a condition in which the heart consist in degeneration of the muscular tissues resulting in enfeeblement of the heart’s action.

According to Ayurveda, when the Vayu (air) is vitiated and disturbs the balance of Rasa dhatu in the body, the various diseases of the heart are born. Heart diseases in Ayurveda have been classified according to the Dosha, the vitiation of which has caused them. They may be caused by Vayu, Pitta, Kapha, all the three Doshas taken together and certain organisms. The symptoms of the various disorders, in brief, are-

Bradycardia ( less than normal pulse beats per minute, leading to a suspicion that the heart is about to cease functioning): the pulse in athletes, where it is a sign of extraordinary health; among weak and emaciated persons and in case of a heart block, in which case it is a serious disorder.

Heart Block: An ordinary attack may lead to near unconsciousness with dark spots before the eyes, before this patient is total lack of consciousness, stoppage of breathing, cynosis, dilation of the pupils, rigor. high blood pressure raising foods

I’m sure you already know heart health is linked to the things we eat. Therefore, we need to be sure we don’t over eat the things that are bad for us.

Everything that you ingest can either help your blood pressure or cause it to be high. This is because of the sodium retention; Sodium retention is one of the major primary factors of high blood pressure. If you or someone you love is at risk for hypertension you should remove the following things from your shopping list.

Table Salt

Taking in too much sodium can directly damage the heart itself and the arteries. This raises blood pressure noticeably. Salt also makes your body hold more water, this water increases your blood pressure even more and puts a strain on your kidneys, arteries, heart and brain. Therefore limiting or removing salt will help tremendously.

Fast Food French Fries

It seems many fast food restaurants are now frying their fries in trans fat-free oil, not all of them are. French fries still even though they may be fried in trans fat-free oil are high in fat and sodium. They are a colossal dose of the two. One medium serving of fries has around nineteen grams of fat and about two hundred and seventy milligrams of sodium making them extremely unhealthy even in small amounts.

Soda

Soft drinks and even fruit punches are linked to increased hypertension rates; this is according to a study done in the American Heart Association journal Circulation. Drinking diet drinks doesn’t help either; another study found that even low-calorie sodas increase risks of hypertension as well. Drinking seltzer with a little bit of lemon can be a more healthy alternative, giving you the carbonation you’re used to as well.

Alcohol

It has been found in some studies that drinking might be able to decrease blood pressure if drank moderately other studies show that even a small amount of alcohol can increase risks. A recent study from South Korea associated the use of alcohol as being able to double the risk or mortality in people with hypertension. If you do decide to drink alcohol, keep it to a minimum, drink in small amounts. Having no more than one drink a day for women and no more than two a day for men will help dramatically.

Red Meats

Eating healthily should only include a minuscule amount if any, of saturated fats or trans fat. Fatty foods are awful for both your heart and blood vessels. Avoiding red meat and fast food along with any other fats that include hydrogenated oils will help you to be able to live a fuller life.

Processed Meat

Most of the blood pressure boosting sodium we get in our diets come from packaged and processed foods. You should avoid things like bacon, sausage, bologna, hot dogs, and other processed meat products. If you already have problems with your blood pressure, you should opt for salt-free meat options, things like sliced turkey breasts, chicken breasts, and lean beef. If you’re a bacon lover as most people are, try to eat it on rare occasions instead of everyday.

Pickles

Pickles are low in calories but very high in sodium, did you know that one medium size pickle roughly five inches long can have about five hundred and seventy milligrams of sodium in it? That is over a third of your daily sodium limit. This is alarming because as someone who enjoys pickles it is hard to eat just one.

Sugar

Foods with extra calories that are full of sugar can cause a drastic weight gain. This is also a significant factor in obesity, causing lots of people to become overweight. Obesity can also cause high blood pressure. This means all that extra weight is putting extreme stress and strain on the heart, and it will slow down the blood flow.

Donuts

These may be one of the most popular treats around, but they are not healthy at all. Just one pack of donuts can carry two hundred calories and twelve grams of fat. Donuts should be a treat on occasion as well.

Margarine

While it is made from plants and oils that naturally are healthy on their own, but these oils are turned into unhealthy trans-fats during the hydrogenation process. These oils are subjected to unbelievably high temperatures then injected with a catalyst like nickel, platinum, or aluminum to give them their semi-solid like state. This process changes the molecular makeup of the oils, making them rather unhealthy now.

Canned Chicken Noodle Soup

While people often jump to this as a comfort food or something to go to when they’re sick there can be up to almost nine hundred milligrams of sodium in a one cup serving!

Canned Biscuits

Most companies are at trans fat-free, it is almost unavoidable in canned biscuits and crescent rolls. According to a recent study from the Harvard School of Public Health, trans fats are associated closely with an increased risk of high blood pressure in middle-aged and older women. While on the label it may say no trans fat, you should be aware of any foods that include partially hydrogenated oil on their ingredient list that means it still without a doubt containing some trans fat. Try eating whole-grain loaves of bread and rolls rather than white. Be sure always to check the sodium content, though, bread is one of the largest contributors of salt in our diets.

Ramen Noodles

As I’m sure you already know ramen noodles are very popular, especially among college students, but they are not healthy in any way. One package of ramen noodles has around fourteen grams of fat and about one thousand five hundred and eighty milligrams of sodium! Those tiny little flavor packets contain most of that sodium. Those tiny little packets are packed full of unhealthy things.

Frozen Pot Pies

Having one single pot pie will equal up to about one thousand four hundred milligrams of sodium and at least almost forty percent of fat. This is literally over half of your daily recommended values for both sodium and fat.

Pizza

Both meats topped, and plain ole cheese pizza has been found to contribute to the sodium in our diets. We know this thanks to a report from the Grocery Manufacturers Association. Pizza seems to send the blood pressure up dramatically.

Coffee

Much like alcohol coffee is also a controversial topic when it comes to hypertension and its risks. Coffee drinking has been shown to increase blood pressure.

Sauerkraut

While it is low in calories, it is super high in sodium, having almost five hundred milligrams of sodium in one serving. Going without this on your hot dog could be one of the best ways to lower your sodium intake or you could avoid the hot dog altogether!

Foods That Help Lower Blood Pressure

Choosing foods that are rather high in fiber like fruits, veggies, peas, beans, and things like whole-grain cereals, pasta, rice, and bread will have you lowering your blood pressure in no time at all. While not all starched are equal, you should just always choose whole grains instead of processed starches. One guideline is to avoid white bread, potatoes, pasta, and rice. Whole-Grain foods have a higher nutritional value and will leave you feeling fuller for longer and prevent overeating.

Fruit & Vegetables

Eating plenty of fruit and veggies will not only help you trim those extra inches off of your waistline, but they will also even work wonders in fighting to lower your blood pressure. These are also packed with potassium, hindering the blood pressure raising effects of sodium. Try eating more sweet potatoes, spinach, and tomatoes they’re delicious and will help lower your blood pressure quickly.

Herbs & Spices

Instead of always jumping to salt for added flavor why not try adding basil or other spices and herbs that won’t raise your blood pressure. If you add oregano to your meats, you’ll probably enjoy them a whole lot better than you would have had you added salt instead.

So instead of eating things that will higher your blood pressure and put you at risk for many different things why not try to lower your blood pressure and live a fuller longer life?

Few Important facts that every one should know about premature heart attack

major risk factors of premature heart attack

Blood pressure is the major health problem of heart in the present time. Here I am sharing the information that every one should know about the major risk factor for premature heart attacks.

There are seven major risk factors of heart disease that you need to be aware of:
Elevated serum cholesterol.

Positive family history of premature coronary artery disease in a first-degree relative(parent or sibling)

Hypertension(high blood pressure)

Cigarette smoking.

Male sex.

Diabetes mellitus.

The presence of definite cerebral vascular and/or peripheral vascular disease.

The other less risk factors

Lack of exercise.

Obesity.

Excessive stress.

Type A personality traits.( Tense,time-conscious,over-achieving,workaholic types who have extreme difficulty relaxing and seem to thrive on stress are type A persons.

All of the risk factors are under our control.Under the supervision of competent cardiologist, you can follow a program that will mitigate all of those problems.

There are, however, several risk factors that are beyond our control. For example, women are more prone to heart attacks after menopause.During the menstrual phase of life, women generally indicate higher levels of HDL cholesterol(another reason HDL choleserol is some times associated with decreased risk of heart attack and very low rates of premature coronary heart disease. As they grow older, they become more prone to heart attacks and strokes.

Perhaps the most unalterable risk factor for heat disease is heredity.

To avoid this risk factors you have to follow proper diet and exercise. All in all,you are healthier if you follow a low fat,high-fiber diet and get adequate exercise.
